Since launching in September, Woolbrae has continued to gain traction, with 37 house and land packages sold and only a couple to investors, supporting the goal of prioritising locals and first‑home buyers.
Classic Group Director Peter Cooney says, “We made a very conscious decision we wanted first-home owners in there because we saw the need for it.”
Woolbrae is being delivered by Kaha Ake, a national development partnership between Classic Group and the NZ Super Fund. Kaha Ake’s mission is to create enduring, sustainable communities across New Zealand by pairing long‑term capital with experienced development capability, enabling housing to be delivered at pace and scale while tackling challenges like affordability, land supply and infrastructure constraints.
The titles for the first 50 lots have now been received and with construction already well advanced, Woolbrae’s first residents are another step closer to moving in. Over 30 homes are well underway; three already achieving CCC.
Community infrastructure is progressing too. Playground construction begins in April, while the pedestrian bridge linking Woolbrae to the wider trail network, part of the first stage of the Jacks Point to Frankton Trail, is now complete.
Across the wider development, Stage Two earthworks are complete and civil works are advancing, while earthworks for Stages Three to Six remain on track to finish this season.
Woolbrae’s house‑and‑land focus continues to set it apart in the market, offering a more accessible pathway to home ownership. As construction progresses, staged releases will continue to ensure a steady pipeline of new homes.
