From 19 March 2026, we’re launching a public naming competition for our central reserve and playground in Awa Park, Feilding. It’s a chance for locals to leave a lasting mark on a place that will sit at the heart of this growing neighbourhood.
Designed as a space for families to gather, kids to play, and neighbours to connect, our central reserve will become a key meeting point for the community. All it needs now is a name.
We’re inviting Manawatū locals to submit name ideas that reflect the spirit, history, and natural character of the area.
The winning entry will receive a $500 Mitre 10 voucher — and will see their chosen name officially adopted for the reserve, becoming a permanent part of Awa Park for generations to come.
Entries close Thursday 30 April 2026.

What’s happening at Awa Park?
There’s plenty happening across Awa Park as our community continues to grow.
We welcomed our first residents in late 2025, and since then, homes have been completed and more are underway across Stage One. It’s been exciting to see the first neighbours move in and the beginnings of a real community take shape.
Stage Three construction is now underway, which will unlock our central reserve and playground — a major milestone for the development.
We’ve also recently opened three new showhomes in Awa Park, built by trusted partners Classic Builders, Jennian Homes and GJ Gardner Homes. These homes are now open to visit, giving you the chance to experience the quality and lifestyle on offer here in Feilding.
Awa Park: a major new development in Feilding
Awa Park is one of the most significant new residential developments in Feilding, spanning approximately 90 hectares and set to deliver more than 600 homes.
Located within the growing Maewa precinct, Awa Park has been designed to support Feilding’s future while creating a connected, liveable neighbourhood for today.
You’ll find us just off Springwater Drive, where new streets, homes, and infrastructure are already taking shape.
Our vision for Awa Park is simple — to create a neighbourhood where people feel connected. That means thoughtfully planned green spaces, walkways and cycle links, and a strong connection to the natural environment, including the Mangakino Stream corridor.
The launch of our park naming competition is another step toward bringing that vision to life — and making sure the community helps shape what comes next.
